Flemington, NJ, USA August 21, 2008. United States Bronze Powders, Incorporated (USBP), a global manufacturer of non-ferrous powders and pigments, has signed an agreement to sell its non-aluminum pigment business to the ALTANA Group, a specialty chemical company.
“This transaction is a further step in the consolidation that has been taking place for some time in our industry. Altana is a company of the highest quality and represents a strong home for our non-aluminum pigment customers,” commented Clive Ramsey, President and CEO of USBP. Production of the pigments now manufactured in Flemington will continue for a period of time following the closing of the transaction in order to achieve a seamless transition for USBP’s customers in this business area.
USBP founded in 1918 will now be able to fully focus its efforts on production of non-ferrous powders at its facilities in Flemington, NJ, Maryville, TN, and Palmerton, PA. It will continue to produce non-ferrous metal powders and aluminum pigments at its facilities in the UK and France and market these products on a global basis. |
